Jonathan has been the pastor at Promontory since it began in September 2025. He is married to his amazing wife Korinna, and together they adopted two wonderful children, Nova and Cyrus.
Jonathan first began to sense a call to ministry after high school when he attended a Bible College in Northern Ireland. That was the first time he realized he could read the Bible and understand what it meant, which lead him to want to share it with others. That passion for sharing the gospel only grew as he returned home and attended SFU where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Feeling the call into formal pastoral ministry led him to attend the Southern Baptist Seminary in Kentucky where him and his wife lived for a year and half before returning to Canada. He accepted a position at Central Community Church as the Promontory Campus pastor where he served until Promontory Community Church began.
He loves to unpack the Word of God, encourage others in their faith, and work it out in practical ways. In his free time, he enjoys playing board games, watching movies, woodworking, hiking, or just relaxing with his family.
One of his favourite verses is:
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—”
